Kim has nearly 20 years of banking experience, and 10 years working with the affluent market segment. She specializes in handling the personal and commercial financial needs of professionals and their business. Kim is a native of Virginia Beach and graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in Psychology and Business. She has held various securities licenses as well as her Life/Heath Insurance certifications.
James Spencer
Private Banker
James has 20 plus years of investment and financial services experiences, primarily working with individuals and small businesses to create, protect and pass on wealth. He utilizes the financial planning process to assist with small business succession planning, retirement planning, income protection planning and insurance planning. His specialties include portfolio management, buy-sell agreement planning and funding, education planning as well as company and individual retirement planning. He is a Graduate of Old Dominion University.
Cristal Armstrong

Cristal joined Monarch Bank in 2005 with eighteen years of retail banking and branch management experience. Cristal’s extensive knowledge base covers our entire portfolio of commercial and consumer lending and deposit products. Cristal employs a close banking relationship with her clients. She has the ability to analyze her client’s needs by utilizing all of our banking resources thus allowing her clients to achieve their financial goals. Her extensive experience affords her the knowledge and skills necessary to be a key partner in managing client relationships.
